As a kid I often felt like a misfit with too many different interests – sports, art, math and science, drama – but I never quite fit in with the cool crowd.  Later on, however, I find that my breadth of ability and willingness to cross boundaries is a gift. In fact, my experience in working with executives, technical experts, creative people, and operational teams means that I can effectively access the expertise across your organization, and work with them together to create new business opportunities.

As a Corporate Innovation Catalyst, I work with business and technical teams who want to bring strategic innovation to their most challenging projects and organizational process. I offer both Project Consulting and Capability Workshops, creating new business opportunities through innovation and strategic insight, and helping people and organizations live up to their creative potential.

METHODS:

My tool-kit of techniques and methods includes Stanford’s design thinking process, strategic decision and risk management analytics, and new forecasting methodologies, and teaching experience at Stanford, training for consultants and client-specific workshops.

STRATEGY:

My consulting and teaching experience in business strategy and forecasting help me and those I work with to see the big picture, with all its challenges, competitors and opportunities. Having worked with dozens of clients in life science and technology sectors, and on issues relating to business model design, new product development and organizational training, I can identify patterns in the landscape and opportunities for strategic innovation.

INNOVATION:

My work as a design engineer at IDEO, entrepreneurial experience in furniture design, and teaching students and professionals speak to my innovation and problem-solving skills and ability to share them with others.
