Building team creativity

Do you want your people and teams within your current organization to be more innovative? Are your teams putting out incremental ideas when you are hoping for something more disruptive?

Everyone can be creative, and the best organizations know how and when to access it.

CASE EXAMPLES:

CREATING A TEAM CULTURE of CREATIVITY:

I worked with a global medical products company to bring design thinking methods and process to a critical business unit.

>>   After a 2-week, hands-on workshop, the team established an internal process and environment to foster better collaboration; design thinking principles such as ideation and prototyping have led to a more innovative culture and a broader range of concepts

SUPPORTING CORPORATE-WIDE  EFFORTS:

As part of a healthcare data analytics company’s off-site, I led a ½-day workshop on Strategic Innovation, highlighting exercises that extended their current innovation practices

TEACHING TEACHERS:

Working with faculty from Stanford’s d.school, I co-led a 3-day Innovation Master Class for the faculty of a highly-regarded international university to help establish innovation practices and curriculum across departments

- Co-created Forecasting for Innovators methodology to understand the intersection of technology, use cases, and culture for opportunity-spotting

- As an IDEO Design Engineer, I put design thinking and creativity principles into practice, developing unique solutions for clients in computer hardware, furniture and office product industry sectors
